Torsten delivers vital support to vulnerable Swansea families at Christmas

Torsten spent his first Christmas as Swansea West MP delivering vital support to vulnerable families, reaching more than 1,000 households in South Wales.

The Everyone Deserves a Christmas campaign sees food hampers delivered to families across South Wales, including Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot, Aberavon, Blaenau Gwent & Rhymney and Merthyr Tydfil & Aberdare. This year, the campaign put together over 1,300 food hampers. Each hamper typically contains ingredients for a full roast dinner, along with other festive treats like chocolates and Christmas crackers.

Torsten said: “Everyone Deserves a Christmas is a wonderful example of a community coming together to spread Christmas joy. I want to thank the local businesses, organisations, and individuals who contributed time, money, and resources to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festive season, despite financial hardships.

“Carolyn Harris, MP for Swansea East and Neath, has once again done a fantastic job of spearheading this vital effort. The community South Wales is united in saying: everyone deserves a Christmas.”
