“Transformational”: Torsten opens Kingsway redevelopment

Torsten hailed changes to the Kingsway area in Swansea city centre as “transformational” as he opened the redeveloped 71/72 buliding.

He joined local leaders including Swansea Council leader Robert Stewart, CEO Martin Nicholls and Swansea’s Senedd representative Julie James at a ceremony to officially open the new development.

The Kingsway regeneration has been led by Swansea Council. The new, high-tech office development at numbers 71 and 72 will provide space for 600 jobs on the former site of nightclub Oceana on The Kingsway in Swansea city centre.

Torsten said: “The Kingsway has a colourful past - it’s great to celebrate its future. This is a fantastic day for Swansea, and another step in support of a busy and vibrant city centre in the years to come.”
